Carlos is CEO of StepOne, the unit of internationalization and entrepreneurship of the Barrabes Consulting Group from September of 2014. Carlos has about 30 years of experience in management positions in sales and operations in the IT industry. Between 2005 and the summer of 2014 was General Manager of Microsoft in Catalonia and Public Sector Director for Spain, leading the development of the business of Microsoft in these fields, driving agreements with large accounts and partners, and leveraging investments and projects with research centers, centers of innovation and partnerships initiatives with the third sector.
Before joining Microsoft, Carlos was Sales Director at Tempos 21, member of the management team of Sun Microsystems in Spain, leading during a period the operations of Sun with Telefonica worldwide, and coordinating the business with partners of Sun in Europe. Previously, he held positions of sales management at Hewlett-Packard, Telefonica and Accenture.
Carlos is member of FEMCat Foundation, the Innovation Commission of Foment del Treball, the Social Council of the University Pompeu Fabra, the Advisory Board of the Fundación Esplai, the Business Council of the Barcelona Institute of Technology, and active mentor of the Mentoring Program with MIT at Barcelona Activa and the Startupbootcamp accelerator of Internet of things.
Carlos has a degree of Industrial Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, a Management Development Degree (PDD) from the IESE Business School, and a SMTC Degree (Strategic Management of Technology based Companies) by IESE and the Stanford University.
